Rum/Bourbon balls

1 lb. crushed vanila wafers
        1/2 cup chopped pecans
        1/4 cup White Karo Syrup
        1/4 cup powdered sugar
        1/4 cup Rum or Bourbon
 

        Mix all together except powdered sugar, roll into balls and coat with the
powdered sugar.
The sugar just basically keeps them from sticking together.
(You can use more than the 1/4 cup of Rum or Bourbon, but if you can't roll
them into balls because they are too runny, you've used too much booze)
 I put them in a round low can up on a small rack, pour a little more booze
into the bottom of the can, cover tightly and they are beter the next day.
 

This method however, does require you make two batches, cause you got to
sample most or all of the first batch right away.  Quality control, dontch
know.
