For What?
-
For what reason does this young North
Vietnamese die here in the moat, at the foot of an outpost at Ba Long
(South Vietnam)? He should have been in his village,
in his rice pasture to plow his land while
his people (Northerners) need his working hands.
-
.
-
But no, he was sent to the South and was
forced into an expedition with no return: to launch an attack on the
outpost of the people of South Vietnam. Hoping to
achieve something for himself, by sheer fearless
attempts? To "Liberate" the people of the South, as
was taught by his communist comrades?
-
.
-
But why have the people that he tries
to "Liberate" built moat and put down sharpened stakes to keep out
those who comes to "Liberate" them?
-
.
-
Possibly, at the last minute, he had recognized
the truth, but tragically, it was too late. He was used cheaply
by the Labor Party, used to achieve a darker plan of engulfing
the South.
