QUESTION FOR PETER ARNETT;
1. Peter - Tell us about the time you and your fellow correspondents
met in
Saigon to plan your own strategy for the Vietnam War.
Tell us what you and Neil Sheehan of UPI, Malcolm Brown of AP and
David
Halberstam of the NY Times concluded - how you were going to "do
something"
about the establishment. I understand that these "journalists
have sent you
e-Mail backing your side. Your thoughts on this "Cabal" thirty
years later.
2. Our source, the new AP book on the subject indicates you
bragged about
influencing the outcome of this War. Any comments?
3. Did you not realize what the profound impact this misinformation
campaign
would have on the Americans and Vietnamese who were fighting for
their very
lives?
4. Would you like to explain to the widows and mothers of
the servicemen why
you did this? How about the 14 million surviving Vets?
What is your
reasoning?
5. What about the Montagnards and others that have fled Vietnam
since 1975.
What type of explanation would you give them for your actions?
6. How do you, as a journalist, explain the events in
Cambodia by Pol Pot
and the Khemer Rouge. Why wasn't more said about this Holocaust?
7. Can you, in good conscience face April Oliver and Jack
Smith and tell them
to their face that you were not responsible for this travesty?
8. You stated that women and children were targeted
and killed. What was that assertion based on?
9.. It has been suggested that the nerve gas was used
twice, once during the extraction, and
once the night before.
and "According to military officials, during
the evening,
American planes gassed the camp with death sarin
nerve
gas, dropping the special weapon, CBU15."
What military
officials? All reports indicate that
the existence of
the camp was not known until the following
morning. If this isn't
fabrication, what is it?
10. Knowing, as you must have, that the charges of
employing nerve agents against
friend and foe were
illogical, and therefore probably
false, what was your motive for
presenting them?
QUESTION FOR PAM HILL;
1. Why did YOU resign, when she could
have stuck with Oliver and Smith
and followed their line?
2. Did YOU resign because that was the honorable
thing to do knowing what YOUR PART WAS ON the story's production?
Does she
have at least that much integrity?
3. Do YOU admit that the story was fabricated?
4. I believe a number of other producers/staffers were also involved,
they've
sort of just faded into the woodwork who are they and where are
they?

"According to military officials, during the evening, American planes
gassed the camp with death sarin nerve gas, dropping the special
weapon, CBU15." What military officials?
All reports indicate that
the existence of the camp was not known until the following morning.

the charges of employing
nerve agents against friend and foe were illogical, and therefore
probably false, what was your motive for presenting them?
13. Why isn't CNN, or Oliver and Smith,

expect those that were in the actual operation to understand why
you continue
to back your story.

What efforts are being made by CNN to attempt to contact these
people to
confirm their reliability and creditability?
8. We have many Montagnards now living in the States that were
connected with
some of the SOG programs, etc. and none of them have ever heard

9. Why did Oliver omit interviews by
the piolts of the A-1 aircraft - too
credible?? (in the negative sense??)

used as a tactical weapon if all the
prime Chemical officers, including the LTC in II corps dispute its
use
tactically, as well its lack of being available in-country - storage
of that
sort of stuff is very tricky in a war zone, especially when it is
considered a
classified weapon system!! - the NIBMY theory (not in my backyard)
would
apply!

the program attempt to retrieve it?? Why not??

to
discredit the US Military and our country?
13. Without revealing your sources, or producing solid facts, how
do you
expect those that were in the actual operation to understand why
CNN continues
to back the story. Retracting only that you can't prove
the story, but that
it could of happened? Why not make an effort to disprove that
it happened by
attempting to prove that it did?
