Captain
Craig A. Marks, Sr., age 50, of Lillington died Wednesday, August 9,
2006. Craig served in the military for 30 years, retiring as a captain
in 2003. He spent 14 years with the U.S. Marine Corps, and was later
accepted into the elite U.S. Army Special Forces, where he served as a
Green Beret Officer. After retirement, Craig continued to serve his
country and community. He was a Military and Homeland Security
Specialist for CBS News; he conducted Emergency Management training
and exercises for public and private organizations; he taught online
Emergency Management classes for many universities and colleges
throughout the country; and he served as a reserve officer for the
Lillington Police Department. Craig touched many lives, both globally
and locally. In the community in general - and especially among his
family and friends - he was known as someone who was always willing to
lend a helping hand. He was always there for the ones he loved. He was
a loving and devoted husband and a GREAT dad. His family wishes he was
still here with them.
