Passed away 9-11- 2006 , at the age
of 79, Ray was born in Saxonville, Mass 6 Aug 1927. Ray served in the Merchant
Marines during the latter part of WW11. Enlisted in the Army Nov 47 and served
in various Abn units an earned the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart
during the Korean Conflict. Enlisted for Special Forces (Green Berets) and
served in Laos and Vietnam. Earned several awards and decorations and retired
June 67.

WE COME TO UPHOLD HIS LIFE IN HONOR, AND TO REMEMBER HIM IN BROTHERHOOD.
IT IS FOR THE FAMILY TO RECALL HIS LOVE AND HUMANITY, HIS WIT AND WISDOM, HIS
JOYS AND SORROW, IT IS US, HIS BROTHERS IN ARMS TO RECALL HIS LOYALTY, HIS
HEROISM, AND HIS PROFESSIONALISM. AS SHAKESPEARE SAID IN PART, "WE FEW, WE
HAPPY FEW, WE BAND OF BROTHERS, FOR HE TODAY THAT SHEDS HIS BLOOD WITH ME
SHALL BE MY BROTHER." WE COULD NOT MUSTER TO THE LAST PATROL WITH YOU DEAR
BROTHER, BUT WE TRUST THAT YOU WILL RECON WELL AND BIVOUAC THERE TO WAIT FOR
US TO FOLLOW.
