A few months ago I discovered this photo on Golden’s Scrap Book web page.  It was taken right after Golden’s graduation from Arty OCS.   He is wearing illegal parachutist badge and the first award of the Good Conduct Medal.  He did not graduate from airborne training until January 1971, more than three years later.  He was commissioned after 10 months enlisted service.  It takes three years for a Good Conduct Medal which is not included in his official military records.
